Storymaker+ Special Numbers

This document contains instructions on how to enter special 
registration numbers for Storymaker+.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM

Storymaker+ is an educational program for creating animated
storybooks with graphics, sound effects, music, and a simple
text-to-speech. The program has separate editor modules for
music, graphics, text and storybooks.  

Storymaker+ was designed as a creativity and learning tool
for arts, music, reading and writing. Parents interested in
participating in the education of their young children can
also use it as a teaching tool. 

Storymaker+ is a DOS-based program.

SHAREWARE NOTICE AND PROGRAM VERSIONS

Storymaker+ comes in two versions, the original EGA version
and the latter VGA version. Both versions were released as
shareware programs but because of minimal registrations, it
has not been possible to upgrade the program. The author no
longer accepts registrations and can no longer offer technical
support.

Every once in a while the author still receives inquiries
about registering the program. This document release is to
make possible its use without the shareware limitations. 

There is practically no difference between the shareware
nd the registered versions. The shareware limitations are
as follows:
  
 1) The shareware version of Storymaker+ VGA displays a 
    message "unregistered Storymaker" on the cover page of
    a compiled stand-alone storybook. 
     
 2) The shareware version of a Storymaker+ EGA storybook is
    limited to 10 screen pages.

SPECIAL NUMBER FOR STORYMAKER+ VGA Versions 1.0 - 1.0e 
-----------------------------------------------------------
Storymaker+ VGA must already be installed in your computer in
order to enter the special number.

Go to the Storymaker+ VGA home directory. Enter the following
to open the registration dialog:

   STORY  /RN

This will display a dialog box for the registration number. 
Enter the following special number in the dialog box:

   HKR78678510-01    

To check later if you have entered the correct number, click
on the INFO menu. If a "unregistered copy" message is still
being displayed,  you may have entered an incorrect number 
and need to repeat the process.

SPECIAL NUMBER FOR STORYMAKER+ EGA Versions 2.0 - 2.4
-----------------------------------------------------------
Storymaker+ EGA must already be installed in your computer in
order to enter the special number.

Go to the Storymaker+ EGA home directory. To run the program,
enter the following:

   STORY 

Click next on the About menu and then on the Register dialog.
Enter next the following information as prompted:

Registration Name:    STORYMAKER SPECIAL COPY
Registration Number:  SGH15-770468

Clicking again on the About menu should display STORYMAKER
SPECIAL COPY.  If not, you may have entered the information
incorrectly and need to repeat the process.

It is prohibited to distribute the special numbers without
this document. 

The program author retains all software copyrights. 

The program author assumes no liability for any damage
arising from the use of the special numbers and the use of 
Storymaker+. Its uses are entirely at your own risk.
