CINNAMON & SPICE ORNAMENTS

      You will need:

        1 Cup Cinnamon
        1/2 Cup Apple Sauce
        Christmas Cookie Cutters
        Optional:
        Ribbon
        Cloves
        Drinking Straw

In a bowl mix the cinnamon and apple sauce together. If the mixture is too hard, add more apple sauce, if too thin, add more cinnamon. Then roll the mixture on a piece of wax paper. Roll the mixture out until it is about 1/4 thick. Then use the cookie cutter to cut out your ornaments.

If you want to hang the ornaments, you need to put a hole in the top area of the ornament. Use a straw to cut a perfect size hole. Option: Add clove to decorate your ornaments. Do this by gently applying pressure to push the cloves into the ornaments.

Allow the ornaments to dry. Depending on the weather and the moisture in your home, this could take 1 to 2 days. Option: After they are dried, tie a ribbon through the hole.

If you want your ornaments to dry quicker, set them in the oven. You can turn the oven on, but set it at a very low heat. The house smells really good when using the oven for drying! If the heat is too high, and the ornaments dry too fast... they could crack! For years of enjoyment... take the few extra hours and let the ornaments dry out slowly.

You can print this page so you can use it later ... like on a Rainie Day! [Rainy Day... smile] The way to do that is by clicking on FILE, usually located in the top left corner of your screen - then clicking on PRINT.
