Sand Dough - Sand Kastles

Materials Needed:

    1 c Sand
    3/4 c Liquid Starch
    1/2 c Corn Starch

Mix both of the starches together... with mom or dads help cook over medium heat. Add the sand. Stir for several minutes until this is thick... like oatmeal. Form into ball. Use a spoon to add mixture into a mold... then pat into a mold... carefully remove from mold onto a cookie sheet... or waxed paper. Let this sit in the sun to dry.

This is a great way to save your vacation memories of the beaches you've visited. Take the sand from where you were visiting... put in plastic bag to use later when you can make little sand castles. Remember to mark the plastic bags so you remember the beaches it was collected from.
