For Win95 & Win98, Click on START - next, click on SETTINGS - then, click on CONTROL PANEL. When the screen comes up find MOUSE and click on it. Next click on POINTERS. Click on BROWSE to find where you saved the Animated Cursor you downloaded and click on it. When you are done click on APPLY and your Mouse should appear as your cursor.

For Win95 & Win98... To install the Icons - unzip the file. Next, look at your Computer's Desktop and decide which Icons you want to change. Click on the ICON with your "right" mouse button. Click on PROPERTIES, next click on SHORTCUT, then click on CHANGE ICON. When the screen comes up, click on BROWSE and select the icon you want to use, then click on OK.

Some Win95 users can not change the standard Icons on our Desktop... such as the MY COMPUTER, MY BREIFCASE or the RECYCLE BIN by using the above instructions. To change these safely, you can use Microangelo's Engineer Program or Microsoft's Plus! program.

For Window 3.1... Go to your Program Manager, then locate the icon that you would like to change. Click to select it, then in the FILE menu, select PROPERTIES. In the Program Item Properties window, click on CHANGE ICON... in the Change Icon, click on BROWSE... use the browse window to find your icon that you want to use (it has an .ico at the end of the file name). Once you have found the file, click on it once to highlight it, then click OK to return to the Program Item Properties window. Then click OK one more time.

NOTE: When I was using Win3.1, I was only able to use 16 colors ... most of the icons that I've created are 256 or higher. If you are only able to use 16... these icons won't be very pretty on your desktop... if 256, most will look good.

The Icons that you get from my site are in zip format... they all have the extention .ico and are ready to be used as your desktop's icons for the PC.

Win95 & Win98... If you have a Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer browser... click on the picture you want to use, with your "right" mouse button. Do you see the options on the lil' screen that popped up when you did that? You can set this picture up as your Wallpaper right now, just click on SET AS WALLPAPER, there it's done. If you are using Netcape's browser, this picture is now on your Desktop's Screen, take a look. It is saved in your Windows directory as NETSCAPE.BMP. If you want to remove the wallpaper, you would look for NETSCAPE.BMP and remove it from your windows directory.

Sometimes our computers are tired... what you may need to do... is click on your computer's screen with your "right" mouse button, then click on REFRESH. Now your picture should show up.

We recommend ScreensaverShot that allows you to set up and use your own photo selections... it is easy to use, and to set up your .exe auto install screen saver. We can not give a link to this site due to it's adult content... but if you are an adult, you can do a search for it. It is about $19.00 (the best price found for a screen saver program of it's kind) ... you can set up a slide show screen saver with this program... and if you are using your own graphics/photos you can even sell them royalty free. If you like Microsoft's programs and don't own the Microsoft Plus program to stretch the photo to the size of your screen... visit Microsoft's site, and download their Font Smoother / Plus! pack W95GRAY.EXE... it's free! Microsoft Plus now comes standard on Win98.

Windows 3.1... Click the right mouse button, when the lil' screen pops up select SAVE IMAGE AS. Save the file to your Windows directory. The Wallpaper you are saving from my site are either .gif or .jpg graphics formats... you may need to take this picture into a graphic editor and change the picture to a .bmp. To do this, open the wallpaper you saved... then select to SAVE... when you save the wallpaper, save it with the .bmp extention.

Open your CONTROL PANEL, then your DESKTOP. Pull down the selection box under the WALLPAPER section and select the file you downloaded. Choose Tile or Center, and click OK.

Macintosh... (I am not a MAC user, but was told that this is how you would set the desktop wallpaper) Click and hold your mouse over the photo you want. A little menu will pop up. Choose "Save This Image As," and save it to your desktop. Open the JPG in an image-viewing program and choose select all. Then choose copy from the edit menu.

Next go under the apple menu and select Control Panels, then Desktop Patterns. Go under the Edit menu and select Paste. Click the Set Desktop Pattern button, and the wallpaper will appear on your desktop.

MAC O/S 8.0... (received email with these instructions) Click on the image while holding down the mouse button choosing "save image as" saving it to your desktop. Then after opening the control panel DESKTOP PICTURES click remove picture, then click select picture, then go to where you have saved the image and select POSITION AUTOMATICALLY.

After you've downloaded and UNZIPped your Screen Saver(s), run the Self Extracting .exe file. This will install the Screen Saver to your Window's Directory. Some of the Screen Savers have sound included, if you don't wish to hear the sound, you can turn the sound off from your Window's Control Panel.

To change your screen savers - For Win95 & Win98 click on START, then choose SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANETL. Double click on DISPLAY and select the SCREEN SAVER tab at the top of the screen. Near the middle (on the left side), select the screen saver you want to appear on your screen. This is also where you can change your Screen Saver Settings.

For Win3.1... Open Desktop from the control panel (main group). Double click on CONTROL PANEL. Then double click on DESKTOP. Select "The Screen Saver you want" from the screen saver drop down menu (about the thrid box down). NOTE: These screen savers are in 256 or higher colors... if you can not run high color, some of these screen savers won't be vibrant.

To Un-Install one of the screen savers found on this page, simply go to your WINDOWS directory (some may be in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory), and delete the NAMEOFFILE.scr file. Our .zip file usually has the same name as the .scr file for each of our screen savers. MAC users... we've heard of a great screen saver program for the MAC that allows you to use your own graphics/photos. With Eclipse you can add your own photos by just dragging and dropping them into the Eclipse folder. You may use our wallpaper photos for your own personal use. They may not be used for profit, or distributed... but if you wish to use them on your own home computer, you may do so.

Q: I can't download your programs.
A: With most browsers, you simply click on the file you want to download. When you do this the downloading to your computer automatically begins. If you can not download this way, the try "right" clicking with your mouse button. When the lil' screen pops up, select SAVE AS.

Q: I am having problems downloading. What can I do?
A: It could be any one of several different issues. Sometimes the problem is that sometimes the server is overloaded or temporarily offline. Sometimes there are isolated outages on the internet, this has to do with the internet connections of networks between your computer and the other site. The best advice if you are having problems downloading, try again later. Outages are usually fixed or restored quickly.

Q: I downloaded your program, but can't find it.
A: When downloading things from the internet... create a file (you can even use your name for the directory) always save what you've downloaded in that directory... that way you will always remember where it is.

Q: What's this zip stuff?
A: To make the programs/files smaller for downloading onto your computer, we use a Zip program. Once the program/file is on your computer, you need to UNzip them. The program we use is from PKWare.

Q: I use the program [WHATEVER] to unzip, but it does not work for your files?
A: There are alot of Zip programs on the market today. It is not possible for me to keep up with them all. The only thing I can say is we suggest the Zip program from PKWare or WINZIP.

Q: I have a MAC, how can I use your .zipped files?
A: Zipit Susie Blackwell wrote to tell me that she used Zipit on her MAC to unzip the desktop themes and it works perfectly for her! Thank You Susie!

Q: The colors on my screen saver look funny.
A: Make sure that the your color is set at least at 16 bit. To do this, go to START, then click on SETTINGS, then click on CONTROL PANEL. When the next screen comes up, click on DISPLAY, then on the top tabs, click on SETTINGS. On that screen it will tell you what your computer coloring is set at.

Q: I'm not getting the nice icon colors that appear on your webpage. When I put them on my computer's desktop, they look dull.
A: You have to make sure that your computer's screen is set to see all the colors. I used Microangelo's "The Engineer" program. Click on "Show Icons Using All Possible Colors" restart your computer... and all the color we put into our icons show up on your computer's desktop! Another program you can use ... if you don't have Microsoft Plus, visit Microsoft's site, and download their Font Smoother / Plus! pack W95GRAY.EXE... it's free!

Q: You said it is FREE, so why can't we use it any way we want to?
A: "FREE" means that I do not require you to pay a fee to use my "FREE" stuff for your own personal enjoyment. Free does not mean, you can take it and do anything you want with it. I retain the copyright to all my works, and am the only one that can license my stuff for profit, or non-profit use.
