It is now 6pm here the following day... we have not heard back from the wildlife rehabber that we connacted. The baby is doing fine. Drinking his warmed pedialyte, and resting. He really grabs onto my fingers when I hold him to feed him.

You can tell if a baby is dehydrated by carefully pinching the skin in the area between the shoulder blade area... if the skin remains up... em may be dehydrated. If you can not find pedialyte... water will be okay until you can find a rehabber in your area. Liquid... water... is the best thing you can give a baby.
