Hi!!! My name is Peanut! It is soooo cooool living here with Julia and everyone else in the family! My life wasn't always so easy... see some people don't think about what it takes to care for a pig like me. You see... this isn't my first home. When I was born, this really nice family took me in... the loved me, cuddled me, they squealed louder than me telling me how cute I was. But after awhile I was always getting yelled at and nobody wanted to play with me. Late one night, they took me for a drive in the car... and before I knew it... I was standing on the side of the road. I was really scared because it was dark and I heard strange noises. I cried really loud, but no one heard me... I was all alone! I found a small tree and finally fell asleep. The next morning I looked around... none of my family was there... my belly started to growl... really loud! I knew I had to search for food. I found a frog... but he was too fast and I could not catch him. There wasn't any pig food anywhere. Days went by and I couldn't find anything to eat. I kept walking around, it seemed like I was going around in circles. Then all of a sudden I smelled this really yummy smell... so I followed my nose... and there is was... a huge bowl of human food! I ate ALL of it... it was so good I wanted more!!! Then I spotted the sweet smell of flowers... yeah, ate them too. I decided that I liked this house and found a nice spot near the barn to sleep. The next day a boy came out of the house, his name was Eric. When he saw me, he was so excited... he called for his sister Becky to come see me! It was great here at this house. I liked them, and they liked me too. But... they told me that they could not keep me... they tried really hard to find my family. The posted notes and called the animal control people and the human society... my family was no where to be found. Gosh, I wish that people would think really hard before getting pets... then there wouldn't be soooo many sad pets in this world. Me... I was lucky, as it turned out, the human society found Julia's page on the Internet... and they wrote Julia's mom an email letter... and Julia's mom said that she would LOVE to have me come live with them! Other animals are not so lucky, some never find homes to live in. Eric and Becky... I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to
you and your mom and dad for taking good care of me while I stayed at your
house. I really liked playing with you! It's nice here... my new mom and
I talked all the way home to my new house! She seems like a really nice
lady! Julia, my new sister and I already had our first fight... she had
to learn that I liked to eat from the right side of the bowl! I showed
her I did... I did! I have to go now... my hoofs are getting tired of typing...
and I have to show Julia where "I" want to sleep!
