Renee... (the elephant with both of her tusks showing) after 22 months gave birth to a Baby Boy Elephant on April 30, 2003. He weighed in at 275 pounds!

Renee and baby are African Elephants.

The first days... the first year of this baby elephant's life is very important. The keepers at the zoo will watch over this baby. The keepers were there when this baby was born... and continue to be there for him now... they even sleep in the elephant house! That is LOVE!
