3 teaspoons salt free Featherweight baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
3 eggs (189mg sodium)
1 cup milk - Bareman's Skim Milk (110mg sodium)
2 tablespoons oil (can be omitted)
1 teaspoon vanilla or maple flavoring
Warm waffle iron. Mix all ingredients together. Pour 1/2 cup waffle mix into the waffle iron. Bake until done. Makes about 5 waffles. What we don't use that day... we freeze and warm up for another breakfast another day. 305mg sodium for recipe... 61mg sodium for one waffle.
Top with 1 tablespoon Promise Margarine (50mg sodium) and 2 tablespoons low sodium syrup... or your favorite topping... such as fresh fruit... powdered sugar.
