City Chicken
Cubed Lean Meat (veal, beef, lamb and/or pork) (about 65mg sodium for 3 oz.)1 Egg (65mg sodium) 2 Tablespoons Milk 1 Cup Lousiana Fish Fry Mushrooms Peril Onions Pepper Carmel Apple Sticks Canola Oil Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Put a few pieces of meat onto the caramel apple sticks (nice wooden sticks). Mix egg (yolk can be omitted) with milk in a bowl. Put the Lousiana Fish Fry (available at Healthy Heart Market) on a plate.
Take the meat on the stick... roll in the milk/egg mix... then roll in the Lousiana Fish Fry.
Heat a little canola oil in a fry pan (Pam - or other salt free spray - may be used instead). Fry until a nice golden brown... turn to brown all sides.
Put them in a baking pan. Cut up the onions and mushrooms and drop into the baking pan.
Cover with aluminiumm foil. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
