Drawing with your Mouse

Download and use our FREE Pegs Program... it's like the game Lite Brights... except you do this on your computer.

Play with the Peg Game... draw pictures like the samples you see on the page... the train, flag and house. This is how I began drawing with my mouse... dot by dot... pixel by pixel. Once you look at it this way... you'll see how easy drawing with your mouse can be.

I use Paint Shop Pro for my drawings... I use the ZOOM tool to zoom in. The closest zoom being 32:1 close up zoom. You add dot by dot... pixel by pixel to draw your picture. After you play with drawing this way... you can move the zoom out... maybe to 16:1 instead of 32:1.

Click down with your paint brush tool to add the color.

Add the dots to outline the object that you are drawing.

... just like you would do with the pegs game.

Continue adding the dots until the area is covered that you want colored in. Shown here... it is 16:1 close up zoom.

This shows you the actual size... 1:1. See how tiny it is? Tiny pictures for the internet are good because they are small in size... meaning they will load faster for your visitors when they visit your web pages. Also... with tiny pictures... you can create icons and cursors for your computer's desktop.

When drawing this way... pixel by pixel... just think of the Peg Game... drawing dot by dot.

Later on... you can start using the line tool to outline your drawing... then using the fill tool to fill in the color you want to use... then... I use the zoom tool to add the detail. Practice practice practice... this is the way I learned.
